Partnership event with Archaeology Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, Scottish Council on Archives and Northlight Heritage
We are delighted to announce the booking for the 2018 Scotland’s Community Heritage Conference (Saturday 10th November) is now open!
This year we have something for everyone – from local graveyards to eco-museums, from youth engagement to safeguarding historic buildings. The conference will be held at the Engine Shed, Stirling and as ever, the emphasis is on community groups showcasing their work to research, record and promote heritage sites throughout Scotland. Lunchtime tours around Stirling Town Centre have also been arranged.
This year our confirmed contributors include
• The Cateran Eco-museum
• Friends of Cambusnethan Priory
• The Ridge Project
• The Carse of Gowrie Sustainability Group
Our breakout training workshops makes this conference unique in Scotland, and we have organised several training workshops aimed at helping you develop and deliver your heritage project. This year the training workshops include
• Ask the Expert Funding workshop with HLF, HES and Arts and Business Scotland
• Scotland’s Urban Past
• Engaging with Govan’s young people
• Planning a project with young people
There are still spaces available to take part in the 1 minute mayhem or if you would like to book a display table please email Cara and Eve at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
This year the conference is priced at £25 a ticket and we only have 60 tickets available so we advise you to book as soon as possible.
