Excavated and relocated in the 1970’s as part of the construction of the A9, Raigmore Ring Cairn is currently sited within Ashton Road Park. The monument has already been the focus of a desk-based research project, by a local adult learners group, who produced an information leaflet about the cairn.  This project hopes to build on the previous work completed by the Raigmore Community and transform the monument into a valued feature within Ashton Road Park, appreciated by the local Raigmore community. The group aim to erect an interpretation panel, provide active engagment activities for the local community and develop a sustainable conservation strategy for the site.
