Attainment through Archaeology

Archaeology Scotland’s Attainment through Archaeology (AtA) programme aims to engage and connect young people with their local heritage, raising aspirations for work and further learning, developing new skills and knowledge while improving health and wellbeing within a supportive, outdoor learning environment.

Through archaeology young people can develop transferable skills for learning, life and work, while improving their confidence and self-esteem. It gives them the opportunity to apply curriculum learning in a real world context. Our activity-based learning sessions allow young people to recognise and celebrate their unique abilities and talents.
