The Scottish Community Heritage Alliance (SCHA) was set up last year, and aims to form a national network of community heritage groups to help bring positive change for community heritage in Scotland. The SCHA have teamed up with the University of St Andrews, the National Library of Scotland and Ergadia Heritage to bring a series of community heritage workshops to 12 different venues around Scotland, funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

If you are part of a local heritage group, society, or are an individual involved with heritage in your local community, please come and join the Scottish Community Heritage Alliance (SCHA) on their roadshow this year!

The community heritage research workshops and discussion days will be taking place between now and October at 12 different venues around Scotland. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet fellow heritage enthusiasts from your region, share ideas and take part in the making of this new national network. And do look out for Archaeology Scotland, as we will be present at a number of them.
